Notice of change in Shareholding
Austral Fisheries Pty Ltd advise that Maruha Nichiro Holdings Inc. of Japan has today purchased the 50% shareholding in Austral Fisheries Pty Ltd, formerly owned by Pescanova SA of Spain.
This change of shareholding follows a very difficult year for Pescanova and marks the end of a long and successful association between Austral Fisheries and Spain’s largest fishing company.
The Australian shareholders in Austral Fisheries are delighted to now partner with the world’s largest seafood company, Maruha Nichiro, and are confident that this new alliance will continue to build on the solid base that already exists.
