Austral Fisheries would like to congratulate Clayton Nelson, General Manager of Policy & External Affairs, on his appointment to the Seafood Industry Australia (SIA) Board of Directors. Clayton was joined by Mark Ryan (re-elected) and Bryan Skepper as the Directors were announced in today's AGM.

"On behalf of the SIA Board and staff I would to congratulate Mark on his reappointment, and officially welcome Clayton and Bryan to the Board. We look forward to their contribution to both SIA and the interests of the broader Australian seafood industry over the years to come," said Chauncey Hammond, Acting Chair.

"I’m excited to be elected to the SIA board for the next three years. There is no doubt that there are a number of challenges ahead for us all, but there are also great opportunities on the horizon. I look forward to engaging with the seafood sector to grow a strong and sustainable future for our industry," said Clayton.

Seafood Industry Australia (SIA) is the national peak-body representing the Australian seafood industry as a whole. With members from the wildcatch, aquaculture and post-harvest sectors of the Australian seafood industry, they act as the voice of Australian seafood.

Clayton has worked in the seafood industry for decades and brings a wealth of experience across several disciplines to the role. Austral Fisheries look forward to supporting Clayton over the next three years and seeing the positive impact he will bring to the seafood industry.
