An exciting and challenging opportunity is now available to join Austral's Northern Prawn Fishery team as a Marine Engine Driver II (MED II) for the upcoming tiger prawn season, commencing late July 2021 until late November.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Engineer will control the operation and maintenance of the vessel's plant & equipment as well as the transfer of water & fuel. They will also assist with day-to-day catch where required.
Desirable:
- Experience with the Northern Prawn Fishery
- Suitable trade background
- Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, Motor Mechanic
- Electrical Fitter and or Refrigeration Mechanic
