MARINE ENGINEERS - MED 1/MED 2 REQUIRED
Exciting opportunities are available for Marine Engineers with MED 1 or MED 2 qualifications to commence work with Austral Fisheries during the upcoming banana prawn fishing season.
The positions will commence mid-March, with the season beginning 1st of April for a duration of approximately ~2 months. The position is on a contractual basis.
Vessels are stationed in Karumba, Queensland, and this is where you will begin and depart from. The work at sea is in the Gulf of Carpentaria.
Suitable applicants should have:
- First Aid
- commercial fishing or at-sea experience
- ARC license and refrig endorsement
Trade background should include one or more of the following:
- Diesel Mechanic
- Diesel Fitter
- Motor Mechanic
- Electrical Fitter
- Refrigeration Mechanic
